The colors for the challenge today were perfect for a sympathy card I need to a send to a friend from church. I really like the easel cards. They show so well.
I used Perfect Plum for the card base. The upper portion of the front was stamped and then shadow stamped-off in Pale Plum with a stamp from Carte Postale. I used a border punch on both edges of a strip measuring, 2 3/4" X 5 1/2". This gave me a stip that I added a 1/4" ribbon to. I placed it on the card front and the inside to make the easel. The matted image of Fine Flourish that had been colored was added to the front panel. I hand wrote the sentiment inside. *May his memory be eternal* is a phase used by our Greek Orthodox Christian faith in hymns and spoken for a paerson who has fallen asleep in the Lord.
Hope you like this card. I think it has an elegant look. Thanks for looking. Your comments are always appreciated, because it gives me a different point of view. ~Chrysi~
