Da Muddermark (that's code for Mothermark) has the tea partiers traipsing off to Bourbon Street in N'awlins this week. To quote da Mudder, we need to "bring some purple, green, and gold color to Martie McGraw's place along with doubloons (medallions), beads (lots of them), masks (all kinds), feathers (tickley ones!) dragon/snake like parade suits (fire breathing) wacky/goofy party costumes (the sky's the limit), confetti (just bring some spagetti!), balloons (not the kind you ride in!), wigs (curly and colorful) and sparkley embellishments (don't bring your diamonds cuz they might get stolen!!) You know, the whole Mardi Gras thing!"
Bertie is still recuperating from her vacation (that visit to the m&m super store in Orlando totally wiped her out---pictures to be posted soon on my blog), so she'll probably be along later. I'm sure she'll be bringing some m&ms to fling....er, I mean to pass out to all the tea partiers. She and I are also bringing some balloons to today's shindig, as well as some bling and beads, baby! See those gold thingies? They are gold brads with pretty green microbeads glued on top of them.
Why not check out the Teapot Tuesday challenge and join us in N'awlins this week? Details are here:
This is also for Betty's color challenge to use Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, and Soft Suede. I don't have any Soft Suede so I used greenish colors from my Copic markers to, hopefully, fulfill that color requirement.

This is not my comment!
Did you know that the City of New Orleans actually has a division in their Police Department called S.F.L.U.N.G? Stands for Special Forces Lockin' Up Nutty Gals. How do I know this? I got a certified letter, Gertie had to sign for it! It was sent in advance as a warning about the upcoming TeaParty at Mardi Gras. I am not so worried about the Nutty Gals but the initials, S.F.L.U.N.G....well, lets just say, it might be a special warning to the resident flinger! That's you, err...Bertie! If we have to get you outa the slammer, it won't be until we're done with tea, so mind your flings!!!!

What a great card Charlene...it so captured the Mardi Gras look! Although, I must say, I had to get my trusty magnifying glass out to see the micro beads on the brads. Me thinks you are telling a fib......but I will give you the benefit of the doubt because I know you would never misbehave and tell a little white lie!
This card rocks...so glad you brought the right kinda balloons!
