Hi! I made this card for today's CAS challenge: to think SPRING! Well, I've been thinking spring for a few weeks now, but there is still snow on the ground and piled up all around (you know those deep piles that have soot on them and are hard as bricks?) I love snow, but I think it's worn out it's welcome and I'm ready for spring to arrive!!
When I think of spring, I think of Easter. And when I think of Easter, I think of butterflies being set free. At my home church, and at the one I served, we got caterpillars from Insect Lore and let them do their thing until they emerged (At the church I served, they resided in my laundry room in a butterfly "pavilion"; often, 1 or 2 or more would escape when I opened the top to feed them once they emerged, and man! my little doggie went CRAZY!!! There are probably some still residing in the parsonage to this day! LOL!!) Anyway, we set them free on Easter Sunday with the help of the children of the church, as a symbol of the new life that is Easter and spring.
Soooo, here is my spring card! A butterfly, which was punched out, and tulips which were colored and stamped.
TFL, and have a wonderful day!

Paper: SU! whisper white cs & Colors of spring paper (I thought that was kinda appropriate for this challenge!)
Ink: SU! markers in orchid opulence, lavendar lace, certainly celery, garden green
Accessories: Tools: MS butterfly punch, dry embossing "table" and tool
Techniques: dry embossing by hand
Difficulty (1-Easy 5-Advanced): 1 (it took me longer to pick up all of the ribbon that fell on the floor when I moved the embossing table than it did to emboss the card!)
