My 7 year old usually casts the cards to the side like they are in the way of the good stuff. So I did not make him a Valentine this year. But I bought him the good stuff, nice little game he's been wanting for his DS and some See's Chocolates that he loves. He announced first thing this morning he could not wait to see what his Valentine day card looks like. So with five minutes, I came up with this. Not too bad for five. lol. The sponging does not scan too well, but it's sponged with china blue and summer sun for sky and choc chip for the ground. I paper pierced some Bella Rose dp scrap for the tree, which is a Unity "growing in Unity" tree. I love the new picnic parade hostess from SU, these little guys are so cute. And added some hearts from my MS punch.

Ha...good story and this tree full of hearts is as cute as can be. I think they appreciate the Valentines/cards, we just don't know it sometimes.

Darling card and in 5 minutes!! I got a laugh from your story, my boys are always throwing curve balls at me like that! Luckily I did make them cards this year, and they did give at least a 5 second glance and smile before they went for the good stuff! lol

I love it! Love how you did the tree! I have 8 and 6 year olds. I so know what you mean! I give them their cards (when I make them) long after the presents!

Aw...what a good mama! And how very sweet that he expected a card from his mom! That is precious. Your card is delightful! Love all those critters!
