I tried to creatively make a valentine for my 12 year old son and he thought it was fantastic (yippee)!!!!
I did my best trying this trap door technique by garnishing tips from others posted at SCS. I fiddled. I used the 1" punch on the white panel, the 1 1/4" punch on the blue panel and the 1" punch on the brown card. It made aligning those three panels easier.
I punched a 3/4" white circle and adhered it to the brown pull tab to make the top-of-heart area of plastic cup be white and not the brown color of the tab. Maybe next time I'll adhere 1/2 of the circle as now it shows white *inside* the card.
I placed glue dots under white panel, 4 corners and on edge under bottom of pull tab area.
The ribbon edge ends right at the white panel.
It may not be the most Valentine-y looking card but for a 12 year old boy, I have to say I'm pleased with it.
Thanks for looking!!
