Hi everyone, thanks for coming to see this card that I have created for the Twisted Sister Challenge on SCS. One of my Twisted Sisters has challenged us to make a card using black and white with a touch of lavender. I have used my Layers of Color images, I love to combine the sets to help with an eclectic feel!
You can find the recipe on my Blog: http://lovelylindascraftcentral.blogspot.com/
This card is for one of our stamping sisters Shannan Teubner, who lost her much loved husband unexpectedly this past week, it touched me deeply to read her story here: http://withfeathersandsequins.blogspot.com/
Many of you may know Shannan or follow her through her Blog or SCS, or you may be like me and just seen her fabulous work and recognise that gorgeous smile of hers. I was so touched when I read the story that I wanted to send her a card. I know that at these times we can't take away the pain, but we can certainly let Shannon know she is not alone - I have thought about her since I heard - I too married by best friend and admire the strength Shannan is showing by sharing on her Blog - I do not know how you would take your next breath. I do know that she would appreciate your prayers for herself and her two boys 7 and 9 years.
Thank you for visiting with me, I appreciate your support and those fabulous comments you leave me - you are such a blessing to me! I hope you are having a great day! God bless you

Linda, I just read Shannan's blog and am heartbroken for her and the boys. I cannot imagine this sort of loss. Please PM me her addy if you have it so I can get a card in the mail too.
Your card is gorgeous, and I am sure Shannan will appreciate the love that comes with this. Thanks so much for sharing your heart once again. Love you, hugs....

My hands just kind of wavered over the keyboard as I was at a loss for words. Such mixed emotions; sorrow for Shannon's tragic loss; the need to run find Gunner and hug his neck; hit my knees and thank God for my blessings to still have him. Can't explain why these things happen but just have to trust that his will prevails and in the end we'll know all about it. Beautiful card Linda, so sorry it has to be associated with such a loss but know that it will bring comfort.

Beautiful card, beautiful thoughts, beautiful idea! Thanks for sharing that story, I visited her blog and feel for her! I wish I had known my husband when we were younger and we had been best friends - that is a super, super blessing.

The heartbreaking sadness that makes this card nessesary is hard to bear. The thoughfulness of all those who care, will help immensly. How sweet of you to show how you care with this beautiful card. Though I don't know her, my heart goes out to Shannon and all her family.
A gorgeous card. TFS. : )
