This card was made for today's Stampin B's Challenge of using Red, White and Blue on a non-patriotic card. It also fits today's Ways To Use It Challenge: Rule of Odds
I wanted to use this new kitten stamp from Speedy the CatÂ’s Friends today. SheÂ’s a SNOW WHITE baby who looks just like Speedy the cat, but opposite in coloring!
There are 3 colors used in the panels, red, white and blue. There is 1 focal image, though it is two stamps, it is layered to appear as one. There is one ribbon, one charm. And, the subconscious sees 3 things, the background, the COLOR and the sentiment at the bottom. There are 3 embellishments.
I stamped her in Noir and cut her out. I used a blue Copic for the eye. The lily is from Spring & Easter 2010Â’s set. I stamped it in Noir and colored it with a Copic marker mixture that I diluted with alcohol in an aqua painter. Then, I filled in the stamens with an Inkssentials pen. I cut it out and layered it with the kitten to create the scene.
Finished card size: 5" square
Total time to complete: 37 minutes
