Hi! This card was made for today's Mark's Finest Papers Blog Hop and fits today's Ways To Use It Challenge.
I taught Graphic Arts, back in the 80's. This was BEFORE the advent of the PC. Yes, we really did have MONSTER computers, but Graphic Arts departments didn't have them. We used photo type setters, border tape and illustrations to create print advertising. My biggest pet peeve was the fact that my students would not know the Rule of Odds when then walked through my door. MOST of my cards already follow this rule. Here I have 3 focal layers: the stripes, the sage patterned and the image's layers. I have 3 big brads, 3 half pearls and 1 charm. Add those up...7! I have 1 fluffy bow. The stamped areas consist of 1 frog, 1 sentiment and 1 ground. Add those up...3!
The Toad was stamped in Adirondack Espresso and sponged in with Palette Ink's Water Lily Green. I added in some Inkssentials gel pen dots. I cut it out. The background was stamped with the naked tree from Our Family Tree in Espresso. Next, I stamped the fern in with Landscape. I sponged in the background with Seascape.
Finished card size 4 3/4" square
Total time to complete: 41 minutes

What a wonderful frog, Faith! Love your description of the class you used to teach ... sounds like this card is pretty much perfect if you follow the 'odd' rules! Love it.
