This is my entry for today's Inspiration Challenge (IC21 to make a card inspired by the work of the artist Erte. I was inspired by the shapes, patterns, and colors of Erte's "Chanteuse Maison" found here: http://www.doubletakeart.com/cgi-bin...771&o=d&cc=dtg
I also wanted to make something for FTTC52F, one of this week's six Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Anniversary Challenges. This one was to use your favorite Flourishes stamp set!! It was hard to choose my favorite set, but I think that Chairs for You wins out.
SU bashful blue is my main color. I scored the background panel (generic white cardstock) and swiped my bashful blue ink pad across it. Then using a CM cutting template, I cut the top in a shape to resemble the outline of the fancy dress skirt in my inspiration piece. The chairs were stamped in black and colored with colored pencils.
The outside sentiment reads "On your birthday . . ." and inside it reads "3 chairs for you! Hip, hip, hooray!".
I'm pleased with how this turned out! Thanks for looking,
Emily
