-The images are solid rubber with negative areas for the flowers. After inking the image I sponged it with a darker shade of color before stamping.
-Prismacolor pencils were used to add colors to the open areas.
-Ink distressing was done on all panels except the base and black layers.
-1/16” strips of black were cut and glued to the card where the blocks meet; this is much easier than trying to evenly space them so a black border shows.
-The camera didn’t capture the collage look as well as in real life but I stamped a variety of images over the solid rubber space (on the burgundy) including a musical score – upper right corner, border stamp - upper left corner, plaid lines – under the bird which I know you can see and a crackle image on all panels. The base was also stamped with a leafy design.
-When using solid images I like to stamp each image at least twice so itÂ’s well inked; the stamp positioner is a must for this process.
-The flower was colored with the Prismacolor pencils, paper sculpted using a metal ball stylus and after cutting I colored the cardstock edge with a black marker. ItÂ’s popped it up with foam tape.
-The apricot panel was white cardstock with color sponged on.

I just love those two colour-blocks that the little bird is perched on - this is much more the sort of collage that appeals to me, rather than the vintage-style.
