love collage, Julia! Actually...my home is filled with vignettes that tell the story of our lives. This card was created for a wedding that will occur next Wednesday on one of the tropical isles of Hawaii. I was thrilled to be asked to design it for the parents of the bride to give to the happy couple. The dad sent me the pictures that I chose to use. Photoshop editing to black and white for the bride and groom and a gorgeous sunset view (printed on velum). I love that I was able to include the work of the father in this card.
The very fun cherubs frame is an image from Stamp Francisco. I inked them in Palette Grey, colored with Copics in the wedding colors. The frame portion was stamped again so I could have a pocket for the tag that gives the names and on the reverse, the deets of the day. The beautiful bride to be has a vintage velvet flower in her ear (the original photo shows a lovely blossom there)! I used the brides' ribbons on the tag along with a glittered heart and a tiny key. The right edge of the velum was 'bugged with the Allegro embossing folder. I stamped the Hero Arts BLESSING on the left vertical edge and the inside sentiment is a SU stamp. I included a pic of the inside of the card along with the front of the tag.
Thanks so much for having a look and always for your comments. Happy Friday eve!
