The CAS challenge is to use designer paper and thatÂ’s what my ocean water is created with. I also cut out the ship and boat so it fits a couple other challenge.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-I used a black marker to ink up my ship and boat so I could avoid getting ink on the imageÂ’s waves. The Marvy marker ink doesnÂ’t smear when I use the baby oil for blending.
-Cut the images out and line them up to the designer paper. Using a pencil trace along the edge of the designer paper onto the front of the ship and boat, youÂ’ll cut on this front line after making a couple marks on the back of the paper where the edges of the image will line up after the cutting. I didnÂ’t but if itÂ’s easier you could use repositional tape to hold the images and designer paper together during the marking process.
I taped the boat and designer paper together and attached to the card as one piece.
-Stamp the boatÂ’s antennae, towing rope, smoke puffs and sun onto the card and color in and youÂ’re finished!
Tools: Stamp positioner for the towing rope, antennae and sun, cutting scissors
