Hallo to everyone, and for me already the year is flying past and the business is picking up as I'm sure it is for all of you as well...though always time for cards.
This week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/
I have called "Foliage Fillgree" which has been made from RAK from Lovely Linda (my daughter for those not in the know). I wanted simplicity with this card, and didn't want to "overwork" it....hard for me to do.
The foliage is stamped with a combination of black embossing and white glaze pen, and an addition of little green seed beads that have individually been glued on. Not as easy as it sounds...they kept flicking out of the tweezers and flying everywhere, and I'm still finding them in odd places.
The narrow image is edged with a half Herringbone EF border, and a small ribbon bow and brown pearls added. It has then been "popped' on half dimensionals to bring it forward. The back image has a Herringbone EF long tab placed diagonally, and embellished with RAK card button and seed beads. There is subtle chalking round the foliage to give it some depth (though that is hard to see in picture). There are brown pearls on corner of image and left corner of card.
The images are "popped' on green CS with DP on the top half, and green bordered ribbon with seed beads runs along the bottom. All shading is done with Pinecone ink. There is an "earthiness" feeling about this card, which I quite like.
Thanks for looking and supporting my Gallery, it is always fun for me to go and visit and see who's been there.

Leslie, I love this card. The image is beautiful and I love how your did all those little accents of pearls in the corners. The button is a nice touch as well. Thanks for finding time to play with us this week at Midnight Madness. We welcome you to play again at the next challenge as it is always a treat to view your creativity.

Such a cute and delightful take on the sketch. Love the embossed DP. How handy to have a daughter for RAK. I am the other way around that due to my daughter's age, lol!

Hi Mum, sorry I am a bit slow to comment this week - blame your grandkids! LOL! I love this card, the colours are fabulous - love the earthy tones. Those little glass beads are gorgeous and labour intensive, but effective!! The Herring bone EF looks great, especially with the button!! Well played Mum - you are nailing these MMSC's - can't believe you have been going for 4 months. Just as well you don't live too close OR 'Craft Central' would be taking a THRASHING!! LOL! Thanks for playing along with the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week, we love to see your cards. We look forward to seeing you again next week! {{{hugs}}}
