I was able to get to the SCS weekly sketch challenge this week.
This is a birthday card for one of our SCS's. I was thinking earthy, natural and texture. It in no way compares to her awesome artistic abilities, but I wanted to make something fun and more earthy for her. But, I am pam124, so I had to add a little elegance to the organic feeling I was going for. Oh well, I did try. Can you guess who this card is going to??? Her birthday is at the end of the month, she's artistic, totally original and has a fabulous gallery. If no one has guessed it by 2/1, I'll disclose who this special stamper is!!!
I used a cute bird image and sentiment from Inkadinkadoo for the card and paired it with SU Flock Together DSP. I sponged around the birds and dazzled up the framing and little parts of the birds with glitter.
I used a ribbon received in a RAK from Stacy~a/k/a Twinshappy~ - thanks Stacy, some fibers over the ribbon and green rhinestones in b/t the notches of the fiber.
I used the SU scallop border punch for the top mat and paper pierced around each mat. I also added some green flowers brads I had and the flowers on the left hand corner were given to me in a RAK from Stacy also - Thanks again Stacy!!!
I had fun making this card and hope you like it. If you have a moment, let me know what you think!!

Oh, this is so pretty,Fruitcake. Love the greens together with that image. Just a really neat card. See, you're obviously still focusing, which is a good thing. That's a solid start! Keep up the great work.
