I made this card for todays inspiration challenge. As some of you know, when the Inspiration challenge comes, I like to sometimes make my cards a visual representation of the inspiration piece. Today is no exception. I saw these really cool plates, and I loved how they were grouped, so I recreated the image: http://www.nellhills.com/store/index...roducts_id=267
I used blush blossom as my base, since it is a light color, I thought it would blend nicely. Then I cut a A2 size piece of white, then cut it equally less 1/4 inch on all sides. I mounted them so I have 4 equal pieces of white.
Then I grabbed my flight of butterfly set, and tried to imitate the colors of the butterflies using the same stamp sets. After I stamped all, I then too SU's all purpose "platinum" ink, and used a dauber around the edges.
my butterflies from left to right, top to bottom:
amethyst, pacific point; regal rose, elegant eggplant; barely banana, pale plum, r&r perfect plum; creamy caramel, pumpkin pie, ruby red thumped at bottom.

Yes, we chose the same inspirational plates, but we each took them in a different direction. I love the whimsey of yours. I'd say you were VERY successful!

The butterflies are so representational. Nice job.
