| I created this card for 3 challenges. The first challenge was the Stamps and Smiles sketch challenge 48 that I flipped on its edge. The second was Saturday Spotlight's challenge 13 to create a Valentine's/Wedding/Love card without using any hearts. The last challenge was Flourishes Feel the Love.
The background is patterned paper mounted on black paper. I cut out the middle of the black paper to reduce the bulk of the card, plus, I can now use that scrap for something else! The main image and sentiment were stamped with black ink and glittery clear embossing powder. I punched out the corners of the image panel with a hole punch and then attached jewels in their place with super glue. Then I colored in the man's suit and hair with a black oil pastel. The sentiment says, "Wishing you a Lifetime of Love". The stamp was originally one long line, but I wanted the phrase on 2 lines so I simply cut the sentiment in half and now have 2 stamps. It was tied along with a piece of vellum to the bow. Then I attached the bow to the ribbon with super glue.
Hope you enjoy! |
