This is my swap card for January. I originally wanted to use brads but didn't have enough in red. So I resorted to using Crystal Effects with glitter sprinkled on. I stamped the Fresh Cuts ontly white CS, trimmed it down, then adhered it to Black CS. Mover & Shapers magnetic heart was then used to cut the larger heart from the black & white CS assembly; the resulting heart-piece was then punched with the heart punch. The Fresh Cuts stamped assembly with a heart shaped hole was adhered to a red layer of CS then the punched heart was adhered in the center of the heart-shaped gap.
The envelope. Square cards cost more to mail!!! I use a regular envelope that the square card fits in. Take a punch and punch shapes out of the LEFT side of the envelope (punch thru both front/back). Insert and adhere a strip of CS (allow for the square card and then allow another 1/4" for ease of insertion and removal). Apply adhesive to the strip of colored CS, front & back, on the edge towards the center of the envelope. Open the envelope, insert the CS and snug the corner of CS into the bottom corner of the envelope on the side with the punched images. Colored CS stays put; the Card stays put in its place in the envelope; and the envelope has charm of its own.
