I already had this card so I got a head start at today's Teapot Challenge.
These apples are hand picked by the locals for their color and taste. They have put a wire fence around them and a bee on duty to protect them from the evil Annie who is trying to take over the apple business. These have been hand picked and placed in this bucket for delivery to the farmer's market where the people who know where to find the best fruits and vegetables shop. Yea to the small co-op farmers!!!!
I cased this card earlier at a Parkerquilter's workshop where I can water color with reinkers to my hearts desire. She has every color pad and reinker. It is a card makers heaven!!! Plus just being in her craft room seeing her beautiful cards inspires me. Plus she has the best tasting water from her faucet anywhere. The city of Parker has GREAT water.
Thanks for looking. Comments appreciated.
Hugs to my Colorado, NC and California sisters

Oh man, I wish we had good tap water. Most of the time you can smell the chlorine from it! And today and yesterday we're lucky to even have a trickle, thanks to the snow and a shortage of water.
I like the little bee charm - I thought maybe it was still hanging around from being there to pollinate the flowers, but obviously I was wrong. Lovely to see you and that basket of yummy looking apples at the party today.

This is not my comment:
Well, looks like to me those small time local co-op farmers busted this bushel o' apples outa the chicken coop denying the opportunity for the hens to trade them for a bionic hen to warm their eggs. Yah, right, they were hand picked by the locals for their color and shape! They were stolen from Henrietta and the Hens! Its a cover up! Shame on the locals, now those hens will have to slave on their eggs until that ole worker bee can rustle up some new apples. (oops...I am still sorta in Dodge City!) Yikes!

Sistah Sputnik! Ok, I *looooove* this sweet card and your perfectly watercolored apples! Your shading is gorgeous. I love what you do at your workshops. The chicken wire is the perfect accent, and I love the font on your sentiment. (Is that SU?) Your lil bee charm is so sweet. Wonderful job Connie! Hugs, California Sister, BN

Hey! Bertie is yer Michigan sistah. Don't she get a hug, too? I did bring the apple martinis, after all.
Yer watercolorin' is so beautiful, and I love how you used the chicken wire in yer design. I reckon I don't much care fer them thar bees, but yers is a mighty purtee gold one, so I guess it'd be ok. Mighty purtee card, Sputnik!

Bet these apples were the first sold at the farmer's market. Of course, getting around the chicken wire and the guard bee might be a challenge. Your card is simple and yet so effective with your beautifully colored apples.

Well now, arent you something out there w/your red apples and your frozen tree! What a stellar combination that just happens to be. I was really going to try to get myself into this MMTP train, but I dont have anything to use for the card. Poor me. Plus, I cant tell stories like everyone else. Sweet card. You've got such fabulous coloring goin' on here. The softly muted color outside the bottom of the bucket is magical. that's it: you and your card are magical. Oh, this I should have already known since we are family!
