Okay, I know this isn't my usual colors or style so to speak, but the teacher who tutors my son has a birthday coming up this month and she LOVES her orange cat named Julius. So, this is not for the cat, but for the tutor. I thought she would enjoy a fun card like this. She also lives on a boat with her husband, so I liked the image having a mouse carrying a fish bowl.
I received this darling image from MarilynPreston~thanks Peggy~. I told her I had a friend who loved cats and next thing I know she sent me some adorable images with cats.
I know my orange coloring of the cat could be better, but I really did try my best. I'm not a real orange fan to speak of and I was tired of redoing it. So, this is as good as it gets.
I used crystal effects on the fish and water and dusted a little dazzling diamonds around the basket, on Julius' paws and ears and on the mouse's ear and a tad on the water line in the fishbowl.
The rest I went with the SC262 dketch, used a little paw charm I had, some brown rain drop circles, ribbon and Sweet Always dsp. I popped up both brown panels on dimensionals.
Thanks for taking a visit and let me know what you think, for better or for worse, if you have a chance.

What a darling image from Peggy and your son's tutor is going to love it.
The little mouse with the fish bowl is so cute and funny. Orange is certainly a long way from blue but just what this card called for and I'm just sure it will be appreciated and treasured. Love the paw on the sentiment.

So cool that you are giving this to a cat lover. She will love it indeed Pam. I love orange, though you know me, blue is my favorite colour you know. Looks very pretty with the chocolate too. love how you added the sentiment. So happy you are enjoying the venture into cats...TFS and hugs to you my dear.

Yup, you're definitely right, Fruitcake. This is not your typical style or color combinations! So glad you busted lose today with you fun and funky card. I love the coloring, silly girl, and the images are too fun. Geez, even a Fruitcake can sometimes surprise me when she gets out of her comfort zone. Good for you, you Fruitcake.
