I played from this piece of art work. I used the apricot sky, big white snowflakes, circles in the background and put the stripes on my behind my image panel and switched them and the tree to black.
Thanks Stephanie, great inspiration on the site!
-Tear a piece of paper in half and masked off the sky using the piece that can form some hills or mountains. Tear a second paper in half and masked off the lower portion of the ground and brayer on light grey, remove the lower portion of mask and brayer on grey but keeping it very, very light.
-Mask off the ground and punch 1/16, 1/8, and 1” circles from sticky notes and place on the sky for the large snowflakes. Add apricot ink with a brayer by starting the roll just off the cardstock and working down the panel; continue until you reach the depth of color you desire.
-Punch ½ and 1” circles to be place on the sky randomly and sponge on the darker ink. I removed the large 1” circle for the sun and put a ½” centered in the white circle and sponged this area also, then removed the ½” and sponged on more color. It didn’t do exactly what I hoped for but it worked out okay considering the type of art work I was inspired by.
-Remove the ground mask and stamp on the tree then remove the remainder of the masks.
-I like the stripe on the art work so I used it as inspiration for the black stripes which are just scraps of paper attached to the designer paper and as you can tell I even had a tiny strip saved knowing someday IÂ’d use it. The wider of the two thin strips I had to cut today.
Tools:
Brayer
Stampin Up Mat Pack for brad placement
Paper piercer for brad holes
1/16”, 1/8”, 1/2”, 1” circle punches
