Okay, sorry gals, but here's another masculine birthday card. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do, right?
Actually, this took on a little more life than it did when I started. I originally planned on a CAS card wit just a tree, but it just wasn't working. So, I started what I always do - ADD, ADD, ADD.
I ended up adding the corners after embossing with the mesh ef and added some bronze metal pieces to each corner piece. I also added a sanded b/g on the creamy caramel with versa mark and clear embossing powder. Then, came the paper piercing; and, to that, I embossed the bench with a squirrel eating a nut and popped it up in front of the tree. And, who couldn't resisit a single bird and birdhouse "just because", right?
I popped up the first layer and the bench with dimensionals. All SU except for mesh ef!
Anyway, this is what I ended up with. Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by and let me know what you think if you have a chance.

Another SUPERB masculine card!! I love how you used brads with each of the photo corners, and the paper piercing really ties them all together nicely. Love that image and your treatment of it. This looks all so sleek!! Lovely work

Oh no, must be you've uploaded another masculine card today! I guess I know what I'll be looking at next. Actually, you may have started out with a CAS and then got sidetracked like you always do. You need to stay focused on your projects!!! I think it still really meets the CAS requirements. I'd upload it to that challenge as well. Beautiful paper and corner treatments. I love that tree and your park bench. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise... you created a great card here, much to my surprise. Keep up the great work,

Fruitcake, this is such a wonderful man card! I love your little scene here. The bird, birdhouse and that squirrel eating a nut on that park bench. Not to mention the tree...Way cool card. Love the corners and paper piercing. You might have got carried away from your original thought, so glad you did cause this is one mighty fine card. TFS :0)

My dear flaky friend, another great card... love the wee bird and birdhouse in the tree. At least there is something punched on this one! And that Sanded bg is one of my faves - you really haven't convinced me that you aren't good at guy cards you know... (Oh, I think it's really cute that you've called it paper piercing when those 'in the know' will soon realize that you tried sewing on a card and forgot to thread your little faux sewing machine... Benzi will catch that one for sure...wink, wink)
