I forced myself to clean up my crafting space and add all of my new stamps into my binder and database before I could start stamping again, but I finally finished and created this card for the CDS CIC4 which was to use brads. I also borrowed the sketch from an old challenge on Mercy's Timeless Tuesday blog.
The background was created by using the Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers embossing folder. On top of that are 2 strips of paper that were created by stamping a chain of flowers repeatedly to cover the area of the paper. I had to stamp it approximately 6 times per piece of paper. The main image was created by cutting out my shape with the Nestabilities Labels 4 die and embossing the edge. Then I colored the stamp with embossing markers and stamped it onto the paper while it was still in the die. Then I went over it with a glittery clear embossing powder. Then I colored in Charlie and the butterfly with chalks. Next, I stamped Charlie again on a scrap piece of paper, colored him in with chalks, cut out his body and hooves, and attached them over the original image with pop dots. I went over the edge of all the pieces with green ink to make them more cohesive and stand out better. I attached everything to the yellow piece and added the daisy brads last so that I would know exactly where I wanted to position them. After the brads were in place, I attached the yellow piece to my base card so that the brads wouldn't show on the inside of the card.
Hope you enjoy!
