This took WAY too long to make, mostly because I was determined to use one of the pieces of patchwork I made on Monday night... I don't really like it, either...
I based it on the patchwork panel, but surprisingly it's ended up only a fraction larger than A2.
Black base, matt gold layer, black embossed with distressed stripes. Washi paper for the band and patchwork (think I need to add some more tiny pearls to the points of the patchwork?). More embossed black for the little top panel, rotated and wiped with metallic lustre rub-ons for contrast. Added a Build-a-Brad with some textured paper, and went round the edge with gold Stickles. Prima flowers, same centre as I used for the brad, gold Stickles dots. The leaves are from gold foil - it was my original top corner panel but I didn't like it. A beaded dragonfly - I don't often use them, but I made a batch up in work yesterday, and it just added a bit of something to the patched panel.
Sorry I haven't done justice to your sketch, Carolina - I didn't find it easy.

This is such a striking card! It just "jumps" off the gallery page. Upon a closer look, all the wonderful little details become evident to be enjoyed! Wonderful!
