This is my card for this week's featured stamper challenge. This week's featured stamper is Ardodd (Anne) and her gallery is so cool! I wish the featured stamper challenge was on Friday night so I would have time to make more than one card! I chose two of her cards to case:
I liked them both, and I had this really cool chicken image that Pat Smethers sent me in a RAK. I have had the image for a while, but I didn't have any feathers. I wanted to use feathers because Pat made a card with this image one time, and she used feathers. It was the card that started my addiction to the Teapot Tuesday challenge.
The image was actually too big, so I changed the card shape so I could fit the image better and accommodate that huge tail. I cut the tail down, but I had feathers flying all over the kitchen - my DH now refuses to eat in the kitchen because he says it is full of feathers and glitter. I am thinking I may be banned from the kitchen with my cardmaking stuff really soon. I changed the image and the colors and the sentiment (inside it says "You make me smile"), but I think I kept the fun chicken humor!
Anne, I could spend hours casing you, and thanks again to Pat for this incredibly funny rooster image. I am sending this to one of my friends who needs a pick-me-up - he is 87 and lost the love of his life a while back. He will surely appreciate this card being a country man to the bone!

Nancy, your card is just delightful. Love the Pat image and using the feathers, despite what happened in the kitchen, is fabulous. Such a great card for a country kind of 87 yo gentleman. He'll love it.

Oh, at first I thought you were going to say you were going to be banned from the kitchen and I thought, yea for Nancy, she has found a way to get out of cooking. But, unfortunately, you were saying you and your cardmaking supplies may get booted out. I love your big rooster out by the barn and those feathers are awesome. Great CASE card to honor Anne and I'm sure she will love it.

AAAAAACK!! I LOVE this, Nancy! He so reminds me of Foghorn Leghorn, and I just can't help but say "Shake your tail feather!" What a sweetie Pat is to have sent you this image, and I love how you added the feathers. I KNOW this will bring a smile to your friend's face.

Man, that rooster has SOME ATTITUDE doesn't he Nancy? Oh, the story of the feathers and glitter are SO TRUE!! I'm with Benzi, maybe your should convert your kitchen to a stamp room and eat out the rest of the time!!! Makes sense to me. This is so darn funny and a great tribute to Anne as FS this week!! TFS!
