I made this desk calendar for the Tuesday teaparty hostessed today by Sabrina. This is also for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge to make something to welcome the New Year. I brayered the background and used an old toothbrush to add black specks. I drew the little trees by hand. I stamped the bear using my clearly inspired father's day set that had this bear. I made the calendar pages using Microsoft publisher. I am so glad I made it to today's teaparty. This past month has been so busy that I haven't had much time to stamp at all. I hope that the New Year brings more stamping time.

Perfect card for today's tea party! Great looking bear! How did you get him so perfectly black? TFS!

Your hand-drawn trees and spattered background are so perfect, MariLynn - the trees look identical to the ones on the teapot. And I like your bear - wild, but not bad. And the raffia is perfect with the feel of the card too - someone is going to love having this calendar to enjoy all year. I like the *wooden* frame too - I hope you get back to having more time soon, but you haven't lost any of your creativity through being so busy.

MariLynn, way to combine challenges...your toothbrush trick is one I like to use too...messy but it works! This card has so much rustic charm, and how clever to add calendar pages!! Wishing you more stamping time in the New Year!

So clever! I love this desk calendar and am glad to see you back as well! I think we all fell into that 'lack of time' thing this month. You did a wonderful job MariLynn! TSMFS

Good idea to make a calender Marilynn. How I love your sweet bear too. Is this guy going to the teapot party...cause if he is, wouldn't want to upset him or anything but, he's going the wrong way. LOL
