I am privileged to be hosting the MMTPT challenge today while we wait for Cindy to come back ready to sweep us up into her wonderful world of make-believe again after her well-deserved break.
See HERE for the story this week.
My base is 5 /4" square cream. The next layer, a fraction smaller, is dark brown Bazzill, with distressed edges. My pine bough panel is cream card, stamped with Autumn Days in Versamark, embossed with white EP, and sponged with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. The main panel is cream card; I stamped the bear with Versafine Black and embossed with clear EP. Stamped the Woodland Fern from Hero Arts for my trees with Versafine Olympia Green and embossed with clear EP. Sponged the background with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Tattered Straw. The trees didn't look quite right just floating, so I sponged in vague shadows just to ground them, though they are not in the pot. Mounted the two stamped layers onto my mat layer with a fraction of a gap between them. Tried various embellishments like hemp twine, ended up with paper piercing and than attached to base.

Very sweet teapot. I love the story with the bear with antlers. Sounds like Yogi bear would do something like that. Beautiful matching card too Sabrina. TFS

Perfect interpretation! Impressed with all the techniques and steps you took to create the scene. Your story in the made me remember how Teddy Bear's Picnic was always one of my kdg. classes favorite songs. Made me almost wish I wasn't retired. Almost being the key word here.

Sabrina what a PERFECT set! LOVE the teapot AND your card! I have missed so many parties, and I want to hop back on the tea wagon! Hopefully later today...though I am a bit worried about the gigantic BLACK BEAR that you invited as a guest. I might have to read other entries/sightings to see if this guy is behaving before I venture in to this week's festivities!
