Seasons Greetings! This card was made for the Stampin' B's Challenge:use a candle on your card and today's Ways to Use It Challenge: Backgrounds. The Background is stamped with a background stamp in Palette Ballet Blue.
A few weeks ago, I purchased some fabulous candles on Overstock.com. The color of blue was a perfect match to Breezy Blue, and all I could think was how in the world IÂ’d be able to work that color into a challenge card. Then, this challenge came up, and I KNEW I had to use this color!
The Candle is a Spellbinders Fancy Tag! I cut it out and embossed it. Next, I cut off one end! (That’s the TOP of the candle.) Next, I trimmed off part of the swirls and used glue dot to adhere it higher up to make it a “candle holder base.” I pressed a VersaMark pad onto the “candle holder base” and embossed it in silver. The “candle” was sponged with Ballet Blue Palette Ink. I hand cut the flame and sponged it with Sun flower and Nude.
The dragonfly was stamped in VersaMark and embossed in silver detail and cut out. I sponged on Nude, Cote dÂ’ Azure, and Water Lily Green Palette inks. The Sentiment is a rub-on. The charms are silver leaves!

Oh, my, is this pretty with these soft colors. I love the embossing and coloring on your dragonfly. The little leaf charms are nice, and the sentiment is so true. What a pretty card for the gallery today.
