What a fun project for today!! I spent the morning making Kruppkakor (potato dumplings filled with meat) for Christmas dinner....Swedish, of course! I finished earlier than I thought, so I had time to play with this template.
I HAD to use a RED bird, so I used a wonderful doublesided gray and white dp. I made a ribbon wreath to go around the opening of the house, and the cardinal shows up really well against it. I took a whole bunch of pictures, but had trouble getting one I liked. So be it.

LOVE everything about this one, Anne!! I have to try the ribbon wreath, it is gorgeous!!
I love your silver tree. We had one when we were kids and my Dad never heard the end of our complaining about it. We wanted a real one SO bad. We had the little color wheel that changed the tree into four different colors and would sit and look at that for the longest time. Now that I am grown I am so nostalgic for that tree and did manage to find a "vintage" one on ebay but sadly no luck with the color wheel...
Thanks for the trip down memory lane your pretty tree sent me on, it brought a smile and a wee tear to my day.
Merry Christmas, sweet friend.

Love that cozy opening to your birdhouse. Your "red" bird is the perfect touch to this wonderful birdhouse. Awesome job. TFS :0)
