I was inspired by this poppy card. Actually I was inspired by a lot on this page and was all set to make a snow scene then I clicked on the last category and saw this big white poppy and was off to create.
What a great challenge Anne!
The flower is a retired Sizzix die cut and itÂ’s all Judy/jaydekayÂ’s fault that I had to have it. Look at her gallery and youÂ’ll see she has done some fabulous cards using this die cut. I like doing the big half flowers on cards which I did a few times with the SU oval punches but itÂ’s a lot of work and this die cuts the time about 90% and I even a little prettier.
-I cut three full petal dies and then a smaller center and hand cut to shape it (the die comes as one large flower). Add the flower soft using AleeneÂ’s tacky glue. Sponge shaded the petals towards the center, paper curled the petals with my fingers and table edge and glued it all together, very quick process.
-The sentiment panel is free hand cut.
-I used Diamond Glaze to attach the gems on the Stampin Up ticket punched corners. I squeeze a little onto scrap paper (I use the left off sticker paper because it doesnÂ’t absorb the moisture), press my large straight corsage pen into the mixture, and touch the back of the gem which will pick it up, line it up on the card, and press down with the finger as you pull the pin away. YouÂ’ll have a couple seconds in which to align it if needed. Another very quick and easy process with a pretty inexpensive tool!

How absolutely totally stunning. This just jumps of the screen the way your flower jumps off the page - and the flower soft is so right when you think of the compound centres of daisies. I like just the two punched corners opposite each other too. This is a real masterpiece.

Roxie you rocked this challenge! Love your flower ( and yes! Judy has a fabulous gallery and I so love her cards using this die) and the polka dots are perfect. Great job on the inside and envelope too! Stand out in the gallery today. TFS
