Ooooh, I had SO MUCH fun making this card for several reasons:
1. It's the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge/Blog Hop and the theme is a Winter Wonderland.
2. It's the last Christmas card I need to make for this season!!!
3. And, it will get Anne Ryan off my back for uploading so many Christmas cards. I think I sent her over the edge - like that wasn't going to happen anyway, right??? LOL!! Just kidding Anne!!!
So, open up a bottle of champagne with me and celebrate pam124's Winter Wonderland Christmas Card Grand Finale of 2009!!
Hey, there's still time to play the MM sketch challenge with lots of prizes. Here's the link:
I finally used my silver doily that I bought for Christmas cards and never ended up using until now. I had gold and silver. Man, what was I thinking. The doiley was absolutely PERFECT for this sketch challenge, so that made me very happy.
Oh, and I used a stamp I won from the MM Challenge called Isabel With Friend Snowman, from Fun & Whimsical Rubber Stamps ~www.yournextstamp.com~ and boy did this come in handy for this challenge. I was looking everywhere for a larger snowman image and this was perfect!! Thanks for the great prize!!!
I paper pieced the little girls coat, boots and hat and the snowman's hat and scarf with matching patterned paper. I glittered up the rest of the snowman, the girl's scarf and trim on her coat. I also glittered underneath the image. I used my silver doilies, pearl glitter card stock for the mat behind the image and filled to the brim with lots of pearl glitter and silver glitter snowflakes, large and small, with silver and white pearls. Ooooh, that felt SO GOOD!!!
I also embossed the first layer patterned paper with a snowflakes ef I bought from HSN.
I used the Label One spellbinder die cut for the image and framed it with silver stickles. Stamped the sentiment on the patterned paper in black and attached it to the die cut.
I popped up the first layer, the pearl glitter layer and the image with dimensionals.
Think that about does it. Sorry to ramble. I'm just SO EXCITED I'm done. Let's see, what's next - Valentine's Day. Oh, and I have several masculine b/day cards and feminine b/day cards coming up in January. So, Anne, you can come back and look at my gallery again!!
Thanks so much for the visit and for putting up with my rambling. I'm just tired and need to go to bed I guess. Let me know what you think when you have a chance!

At last, at last, it's over! That is part of the cheer Miss Ryan and I are doing. I love, love this card. It looks so wintry and icy. With all the blue and that 'just perfect' doily, I feel I am in a winter wonderland. And, a snowman!
One of my favorite things. With all the commenting and Christmas cards you made, you have barely squeaked this MM in before the next sketch.
O.K., I'm through and you need to get on all those valentine and other cards.
I'll be anxiously watching for a new kind of creation.

Oh, initially I thought hey this is too good: benzi and I are on the same page ...UNTIL...I read her real comment. Queen of Christmas cards I have to applaud your ability to create all these cards! I could never have done that and done it nearly as well as you! But, alas, newer seasons are approaching so I shall be guaranteed of seeing 'different' cards. Hooray!

WOW! What a finale Pam! Such a beautiful, wintery, sparkly card - I love it! You fully deserve your champagne! I'm sipping some mulled wine with you - honestly, I'm partaking as I type! Don't forget it's a few hours later over here - I'm not drinking in the middle of the day!! So, as the posh people say over here in their terribly twee accent 'Chin Chin darling' - or as the rest of us say, 'Bottoms Up!'

AWESOME!! Love the image and your embellishments are wonderful!! Great colors, just beautiful. Congratulations on THE LAST CARD FOR CHRISTMAS this year. About 7 or 8 years ago I started making all my Christmas cards alike. Less confusing, before I was having to keep records of what each family got - now they all get the same. So I just do an assembly line and 65-70 cards later I am finished!!!
