I saw this advent calendar tutorial on here and some of the ones that were done are sooooo cute. I printed the directions, was off to Mike's and me, my 6 year old son and my husband put this together. I put mini candy bars inside and my son eats them for his night time treat (if he eats all his veggies)

Oh, this is so darling and so is the story behind it! So sweet and such a great way to get the kids to eat their veggies! Well, arent you the creative one over there? The boys did a fabulous job, too.

This is how Christmas traditions start. I'm sure your son will hold fond memories of getting to do this with this ever unique advent calendar!
