Well, being the hostess this week, I felt that my card had to be representative of the actual teapot. I did my best. Notice that the spout and handle are on the opposite sides from the teapot. I guess that's how my brain works! LOL!
I drew the Santa by hand and then water colored him. I made some faux leather out of Creamy Caramel embossed with Fiskars Leather Texture Plate and sponged with Chocolate Chip. I used Antique Brass HPH for the belt buckle. The Teddy Bear and drum are just clip art that I printed on CS and cut out. I think I'll add a sentiment inside and mail this to my grandchildren in California. They'll enjoy it. Thanks for taking a peek!!
ETA: Nancy was right! I should have to explain what I DON'T want for my family or me for Christmas. Santa, please don't leave us another pet!! NO LIVE ANIMALS! We have a dog and a cat now, and that's enough!! LOL! As far as the best gift I ever received, it was a doll. I was five and I saw a particular doll in the store and must have mentioned that I'd like that doll. I even dreamed about it!! I remember dreaming that the doll was on a table, and I reached out to pick her up, but my mother was waking me up. She thought I was reaching up to hug her!! On Christmas morning, the biggest box under the tree contained that doll!! Actually, my father had passed away just a few months earlier, and my mother couldn't afford much for Christmas, so friends of our family got together and bought my brothers and me some wonderful gifts. I don't know who actually bought that doll or how they knew I would want it!!!

Very good literal representation of the pot (the belt and the drawing are awesome) - but I wanted to hear about what you and your family don't want for Xmas or what your favorite Xmas present ever has been! If we have to do, you should too (JK, of course)

This is a card is a treasure and a keeper. Mrs.Claus will certainly frame your art work and love the fact that the drum is not real. Thank you for hosting this week and providing us with the delightful and funny story about Santa's adventures last year.

Well CA, drawing your images now? Holy Smokes! Adorable! I must say, I studied that belt and am most impressed! I love your story about the doll and smiled to think about how God uses people to bless one another. Very sweet. Thanks for sharing this work of art Sistah! Can't wait to see what others drum up on your day of hostessing! LYMI, hugs...
