Maybe it's just that I have been so busy and so tired this week, but I found yesterday's IC even harder than last week. However, when we got home after a day out I finally managed to turn up a few pieces of grungeboard someone had sent me, and that gave me the key to this card. This Key to the Butterfly from the STEAMPUNK collection was my inspiration.
5 3/4" square base, sponged with Weathered Wood and edged with Walnut Stain. The square of Basic Grey solid paper was crumpled, then stamped with various stamps and embossed (Penny Black Butterfly, Hero Arts Script, Stampendous Music Score). The panel of French Script was a reject sitting on my desk, originally white, so I sponged it with Old Paper and a bit of Soot Black. Wiped the key with Versamark and embossed with silver EP, then darkened a bit by wiping with ink. The Penny Black butterfly was stamped with Versamark on a scrap of paper and embossed with silver EP. I added some pearls and a little knot of Mizuhiki cord.
It still needs something - but it's so not my style that I don't know what, apart from the bin!
