I needed a masculine get well card for Lester. He just celebrated his 85th birthday, and now he is in the hospital. He had diverticulosis, and they did surgery to remove the obstruction. He is in ICU and recovering. Since I never got to know my grandparents, he is the next best thing. He is a great guy, and I hope he gets well soon!
What I liked abt the card was the scoring (I never score!) and I also liked the colors, so that was my main focus of my card. I also don't do sentiment tags, so I thought I would try that as well.
I used ruby red as my base, black as my mat. My small panel is old olive. I stamped in elegant eggplant and colored the center of my sunflowers with crushed curry, and the rest with summer sun. The leaves are colored in old olive, and the image outlined in ruby red. The scored lines I colored with barely banana.
So, I changed, the colors, by adding one
I changed the image
I changed the sentiment
I added brads.
tfl and again congrats to Christine

Ditto regarding the comments above, Dara. These sunflowers are truly magnificent. Sunflowers are my favorite floral. I can't believe how many of you artists are using my faves today! I actually grow them in my backyard and when I enjoy them I often think of this quote from Helen Keller: *Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It's what sunflowers do.*
I will be thinking of your friend this week and sending up prayers for healing. Thanks for playing the challenge, GF.
