Joanne (a/k/a Jojot) was the hostess for this week's Stampin'B's DT Blog Challenge. She wanted us to make a Thanksgiving/Autumn card, which is very timely. Fall weather has finally come to Florida, although it was cooler last week than this week.
While I was visiting my sister a few weeks ago, we focused our efforts on Fall cards. I had wanted to try using some metal sheets on a card, so I embossed a piece of copper using my sister’s Fiskars embossing system and glued it to the edge of the inside of the card. The front of the card is cut at 3 ¾ inches, allowing the copper piece to show. I stamped the sunflower with Palette Burnt Umber and colored it with Prismacolor and Copic markers. The sentiment, from TPC Studio’s Fabulous Fall set, is also stamped in Palette Burnt Umber. I embossed the River Rock background piece with Cuttlebug’s Script folder and matted it with Really Rust. I thought the variegated green ribbon went really well with the Always Artichoke base.
