Not sure why I am posting this, other than I am addicted to this card making thing. Still under the weather and boy does this card show that. Should have stayed home and went to bed. Went to get in my truck this morning and the key wouldn't unlock the door, so I had to go through the passenger side. DH came to my rescue with the WD40. Problem solved. Wish he could have fixed my panels here which are uneven, plus nothing wants to stick together, and my ott lamp bulb broke this weekend while dog sitting and the new one isn't the right one.SO the color in the picture is a little off. Oh well, that all said, here are the details.......
Trying a new technique I saw on a card yesterday at the craft store. You use a metal embossing plate. Tape it to the cs then, then put matte black embossing paste over it with a small special type tool. Let dry. So I did this before I left for work. Got home and them put another layer of paste only this time it was a crackle ep. Set this under a lamp to speed up the drying time.
Found these mountains I had stamped a month ago on w/c paper. Colored the snow with a puff pen. Didn't really puff like the instructions said it would. Colored with re-inkers. Didn't like it so I added some shimmery w/c stuff I found in the drawer. Also used the shimmer stuff on the crackled trees when they dried.
The rest of the panels are just misc dp layered with either black cs or the white card.
Put the whole card together according to the sketch and quickly took the picture before anything fell off. Oh yeah, and the camera was acting up too. .....Must go to bed. Hopefully tomorrow my mojo will be better and my cold gone.....now that's some wishful thinking. hehe.... TFL, .... please be kind, remember I am sick. :0(

Stop being so grumpy. This card is adorable and perfect and none of the little things you point out make me like it any less. The colors are gorgeous, ott light or not. The texture is so wonderful, what a great technique and you were kind enough to explain how it is done. The little mountains with the snow on top are just charming. Sorry about the truck and the camera, but honey, whatever cold medicine you are on is doing wonderful things - nice to know you can bottle the muse! I LOVE THIS CARD.
Now ... hope you feel better. I am thinking you a big cup of hot chicken soup.

Great, colorful card! I thought about you all day today. The wind blew like crazy all day and night and my DH had quite a job cleaning the pool today! The pool man was supposed to come today, but didn't show up. I think he was so far behind trying to clean all the pools from the wind! Sorry you are sick. Feel better soon!

Ah, but wasnt you that just told me oh no I cant call in sick! You said it was just a little cold, but if I read this narrative correctly, you are really fighting for your life. How you can make a card when you're not feeling well is beyond me, but then again, everything you do is beyond me! I think your card is just amazing. Your new technique is wonderful, Nutmeg. How bout that ... you learned a new technique. Geez, I thought you were the author of all techniques` Take care.

I love how this turned out. I especially like the first comment saying 'stop being grumpy.' Heeheee!!! Your goofs always turn into masterpieces. Your crackle trees are awesome and I wish I could see you do it in person. Even sick you turned out a winner. love the colors. I need some sympathy from you too. I was looking for a lid to my tupperware so I moved a foot stool over to the cabinet but must not have lined up right and hit the edge which caused it to tip and turn over so the leg dug into my back and I fell to the floor. It was only about 1 foot but I feel like I fell off the roof. I really think your older, very sore sister needs a card from you.....After this comment I am heading to bed with a hot bean bag!!!
hugs, sis.
