blacken wondered why he was feeling depressed lately, and blanca KNEW why she was! that's why she invited the tea partiers over! since she didn't want to give her husband visual overload, she did let him keep ONE room black and white--his study. and to help him ease into the color in the rest of the house, she made him a card to post on his bulletin board.
and her plan is working! when he is ready to leave his study, he meditates on her card for a few minutes, and soon is able to handle the color explosion that has become the rest of their home! not only is it easier now that he still has his safe-haven, but he is beginning to enjoy it--at least the darker blues, purples and browns! ...not to mention all the money he is saving by not going to the psychiatrist anymore! in fact, they have saved enough to go on a vacation to las vegas--how's THAT for an explosion of color!
so glad you're back, mothermark! we've all missed you! [and thanks, girls, for keeping up the tea parties...i've been working the last few tuesdays, but have kept up!]

Wow! What a colorful card! This would cheer anyone up! Who knew it would be that simple to bring Blacken out of his funk? Great sentiment! Blanca is going to be delighted with your creation!

That is the perfect sentiment for today's challenge. I love all the color on your card. It made me think of batik or tyedye. I love how you staged your card with the white with black scribbles paper. Awesome job!

Wait until I tell Fran how wonderful you have been to her brother, Blacken! You have a good heart to be concerned about overloading our dear Blacken with color and sending him off the deep end. Let's face it, a husband who is obsessed with black and white is better than one in a straight jacket, a WHITE straight jacked with black buttons! Snort!
Love the card, very creative and fun and the story and sentiment is so perfect for today's adventure! Blacken is grateful for you! Snort!

Oh, this is lovely. A real tonic for Blacken's depression - way better than pills. I really like the softness of the colours on that paper, and the little punched flowers make it into such a happy card. Now there's a perfect marriage - the sentiment and paper.

This is the perfect thing to ease the Mr. into color. I know it will work because it makes me happy just to look at it! And that sentiment is totally appropriate and adorable. TFS!

You win the prize for all the pretty colors you've brought to the tea party today! I LOVE that sentiment, too. I'll try to make sure Bertie doesn't fling any pea soup on your pretty card.
