WOW! I'm doing another challenge...whoo who! I have been busy preparing a birthday party for my son Cody who turned 9 on Monday but had his party today...I'm beat! But I had to play in the challenge tonight because I felt like I needed to. It also relaxes me too.
The Featured Stamper is Rachelhope13 and she has some wonderful cards to case. We were to case a card from her gallery and change a few items. I chose this card Beach Babe by Rachelhope13 at Splitcoaststampers. I knew exactly what I wanted to do because Cody has a birthday party to attend tomorrow and its an indoor pool party.
Here's my story.
I've always wanted to try the gel technique and it was perfect for the party and casing Rachel's card. I stamped the little girl from CTMH Water Fight and colored her using my primascolor pencils. I also stamped the splashes in blue ink. The sentiment is stamped using a $1 Michaels clear stamps (I cut the stamp so it would give me a single sentiment at a time). I lightly sponged on the inside with bliss blue around the splashes. I used my CB Swirls on the MME DP to make it look like waves. I used my CM circle punches for the bubble where I had wrote Kegan. I also used my small ribbon punch on the bottom of the circle for the ribbon. It is held on with tacky tape. I then followed Beates instructions for the gel and eyelets. I used tacky tape for this whole card because it is heavier than a normal card. I really enjoyed making this. Thanks for dropping by! Have a wonderful Sunday!
What do you think?
Bonnie
Things I changed:
1. using gel as my main focal point
2. image
3. round sentiment
4. c/b b/g
*note-the 2 white spots you see in the reflection on the gel against the camera!
