I was inspired by this book and since I have to stick to Christmas I thought the holly would make a great substitute for the ferns. I liked the colors and also that the artist is from Michigan where we live.
-Cuttlebug embossing with Prismacolor pencils for adding color then I added some stickles to the berries.
-The snowflakes are a Marvy punch and the paper is a recycled Christmas cardÂ…I let nothing go to waste but DH will be glad to see IÂ’m using this stuff I keep saving!
This is one more card for the soldier box and since I put some store bought cards in the box I ended up with some odd space so about ten of this size card will fill the spot.
For the new stampers out there: this a mini tall card and I cut it 7 x 6.25” and scored at the half way (3.5) of the 7” length and you have enough left over from the 8 ½ x 11” cardstock to make a 4” square card base and an extra strip. This card fits in the 3 5/8 x 6 ½” commercial envelopes which you can find in all stores that sell envelopes and usually at a very inexpensive price…the dollar stores always have these in stock.
