This is for the Wizard of Oz Inspiration Challenge (IFC54).
Every year, our dance club has a Halloween dance. On this year (2006), my DH and I dressed up as a vampire and witch (yes, that's me!!) I did the makeup for both of us, and many people didnÂ’t recognize us when we came in that night. IÂ’ll be making another page or two that showcase the different costumes in a size you can really see. Everyone always has a blast at this event and many folks take the job of deciding on costumes and dressing up for this occasion quite seriously!
I started out with the orange background and added a border overlay. I found a template for the castle with places already cut out for the photos. The template had a grey moon in it and I replaced it with an image I found online that had the Wicked Witch of the WestÂ’s monkey army flying across the moon. (I used the magnetic lasso tool to trace the shape so it would fit exactly the way the original moon fit.)
Next, I extracted myself (Wicked Witch) from one of my photos, added a green glow and plopped my image on a layer above the castle. I then added the title using a font I found, shaped it and added a shadow. The final layers were the broom, tag and text, cat, bats and spider web.

The title drew me to this at first. It made me laugh. Then when I clicked on the image and saw the look on your face and the flying monkeys, I went gaga for this page! I mean, just how fun is this? So much fabulousness. The green glow around you is a really nice touch, too. Now, I wonder if I can still get my hands on that template?
