For my card, I am using one of ODBD new October Releases called With Heartfelt Sympathy. I love this cattail image and I think it is a great image to make manly cards for all kinds of occasions. While I thought these colors for the color challenge would make a great man card, I think my addition of two rows of sheer ribbon and bow detailing definitely girled it up a bit. Hey...I never know where a card will end up when I start making it.
Please check out this blog post for more card details.

My DH would definitely say this is NOT masculine with all that ribbon. But I just love it. I don't know why bulrushes remind me of my grandmother - I think she had some in a vase in her house perhaps. I always love cards with them on, and this one is just so beautiful with those rich warm colours. That is looking like one very versatile sympathy set - if I get a few more hours in work I'll have to take a closer look at it.

You rocked the colors, Betty....this is GORGEOUS!!! Yes, it would make a fantastic masculine card without the ribbons, but I love your addition of the ribbons/buttons/cording.
