One of my go-to images lately - this combination of background paper & flower image from Melstampz (available as free digi images here: http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2009/0...tal-image.html )
For this card, I printed everything out on white cardstock, then sprayed lightly with hairspray to fix the ink. I watercoloured two of the centre image, so that I could cut out the blooms and paper piece them. I used Broken China distress ink, and SU watercolour pencils for the leaves. After everything was dry, and I had paper-pieced the blooms, I pierced holes in the blooms to add little french knots in white (another cool idea from Mel's blog), and pierced holes around the oval to add the blue beads, which I sewed on with more white thread. I then pierced around the edges of the background paper (with my new Tim Holtz design ruler...why did I wait so long???) to sew it to another piece of white cs. Finally, after trimming that white cs to act as a border, I mounted the whole shebang onto foam tape & onto my white card base.
