This was my very first shaker card, and I'm sure there was an easier way to do it. I loved how this snow globe turned out, but I am definitely only making this for immediate family. In order to make the snow globe effect, I stamped the Santa image directly onto the blank card. I then punched a circle in the card stock and I cut out so it would be centered directly over Santa. I then glued clear overhead transparency on the back of the card stock I just punched. On the back side of that card stock I used glue strips and then I sprinkled crystal snow flakes over santa before laying the card on top of Santa. Last but not least, I cut out a snow globe and ho ho ho on my Cricuit machine in contrasting color to match the background dp. Once the snow globe was cut out, I centered top of my snow globe in a large circle punch so I only had the outline to glue over the circle cut out on dp. I think it turned out pretty good, but boy was it a lot of work. I sure hope my explanation was clear, and not clear as mud ;)
Thanks so much for looking, and let me know what you think.
