MariLynn is hostessing teaparties on Tuesday till Cindy is back at the helm again - you can find her card along with the teapot as the first post in the gallery HERE.
I love autumn. I like all the seasons, I suppose, once there isn't too much rain. The leaves in autumn remind me of walking to school when we were young - there were ditches along the side of the road, and this time of year we could rustle our way through them. Mostly chestnut and beech. There's a Spanish Chestnut in work - I had a look today and there are a lot of nuts on the ground, but they're not fat enough to eat yet.
MariLynn has promised a haryride (hope I'm not too late for that) and some warm spiced cider. I've never had that, but I hope my apple doughnuts and apple cheese nut bread will go well with it.
My base is 5 3/4" square. I stamped a leaf round the edges with Versamark and sponged with various colours of chalk pastel. I printed my quote, sponged it and distressed the edges. I made my leaves from Fantasy Film - Strawberry, Foliage and possibly Waterfall. Used StazOn black to stamp the film, and then crinkled them up a bit with the heat gun. Then I just added a little snail and a couple of K&CO rub-ons.

Sabrina this is gorgeous. I love the look of the leaves. They are so cool. Your sentiment is perfect. I think this is a great card for the hay ride teapot leaf throwing party...Super.

Sabrina, this is such a pretty card. I love your leaves. The colors are so pretty. I love how you have it near your little strawberry leaves. I love the smell of burning leaves. The colors of fall. Every Saturday I have to drive 45 miles to take our package of invoices to Fedex. I have enjoyed watching the corn grow all summer. I love when it gets golden and ready for harvest. I even saw a few farmers harvesting last week.
My spiced cider has cinnamon, and nutmeg in the cider and warmed but not too hot. I am being especially careful about my cider this year. Last year a little girl at our church got e-coli, they think, from some cider. She almost died. I will definitely be drinking pasturized cider!!
Apple doughnuts and apple cheese nut bread sound delicious. Just bring them to the backyard over by the old oak tree. I have some apple pie and pumpkin pie already set out there. I was going to have a pie eating contest, but I think I want to savor and enjoy each bite!

How lovely is your card Sabrina. Your leaves looks like the real thing. Love that you talk about fall and the memory of walking to school. There is a peculiar smell (leaves on the pavement after rain) that takes me back to my navy "jumper" and white blouse, sitting in the classroom, lost in my thoughts while the teacher was probably explaining homework. LOL
Thanks for the thought of fall, it's a positive way to look at it for those who can't stand this time of year and for the memories. hugsxo

This is just FAB!! Love those leaves, never heard of fantasy film, may have to run to the LSS and ask about it. TFS
I so love apple donuts. Yummmmmyy!! The cider mill here in Ks. always has them in the fall and it is such a great memory. Dad would always run to the next town when we were camping by the lake to get some for Sat. breakfast.
