I've missed the last few Flourishes Tuesday challenges, with being on holidays and being sick. So I was determined to play along today, and when I started to think about using a frame, I realised I could make another card that would fit yesterday's TLC too. I'd wanted to try it with plain foil, so it was all good.
Black A2 base.
Then a layer of DCWV Asian Stack, with the corners punched and the edges wiped with silver ink and embossed with silver EP. I embossed the top two thirds and bottom third with two different folders, and added a scrap of silver ribbon over the join.
My frame is cut with Nestabilities, wiped with Versamark and embossed with 3 layers of black glitter EP. Behind it I put a bit of embossed foil. I added the Flourishes peacock, stamped on some Joanna Sheen marbled paper. The sentiment was stamped on the same paper, edged in silver and layered up on a larger black oval also edged in silver. I added some Turquoise Stickles to the peacock's crest and round the sentiment, black pearls on the ribbon and turquoise gems in the corners.
Isn't there an expression - vain as a peacock? So I think he's looking in a mirror and deciding he is the most handsome of all.
