The LSC for this week was to use Halloween colors on your card. Even though I am Halloween stamps challenged, I wanted to do a Halloween card. I found a "cute" pumpkin stamp at the LSS. I had a card background from a while back and it inspired this card.
I still needed a sentiment, so I went to my computer and created one. The font is from dafont.com. They have tons of fonts to use on your projects. The name of the font I used here is Uncle Typewriter. I used the custom color feature to change the font color to something remarkably like Really Rust.
The background is distressed using paint spatter from Printworks in River Rock, and the edges are sponged in Basic Black and River Rock. The main image is popped up and mildly distressed using paint spatter. I also masked it to add the flourishes in Always Artichoke and colored the eyes, nose, and mouth with yellow marker.
When I showed it to DH he said it looked like the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.
