This is for FS135 and our inspiration artist oday is LMcAree. Congratulations, Lori! Lori has a gallery full of gorgeous projects and it was lots of fun surfing through and finding tons of inspiration. I love the Stampavie images and was inspired by this card of Lori's. Spring Blooms by LMcAree at Splitcoaststampers I used a similar image, kept the red theme for the project and changed up the layout. What a delight this image is to work with. I stamped the image and then used my craft knife to free hand cut a frame out around the image. I wanted to pop the whole front of the image layer up and create a matching scene in the background. I love the dimension it creates carrying the path and ground from the foreground to the background. One word of caution when using bright red ink. Do all of your sponging around your scenery with your yellow and blue highlights before painting in your red flowers. This will avoid the red smudging. Note the red bow is covering up a big smudge and there were lots of extra grass sprigs added to cover some others along the ground area. Ugh! You'd think I would learn but I'm sure I will repeat the same mistake again and again.

Wow, Kittie, this is fabulous. As always, your scenery is fantastic...good to hear you have to work at it and cover mistakes sometimes!...and this framing is really wonderful. I love the depth. Fantastic card!

OMGosh Kittie, I love what you did here! WOW! You are Queen of the soft wonderful scenes. I love the technique you did, cutting out around your image and all. I am going to have to give that one a try, if I can figure out what you really did. Lovely lovely card. TFS :0)
