Thanks, Maggie's Mummy, for the challenge of the one layer card and to make it masculine. What could be more masculine than hunting pheasant?!? I have not had a chance to use this great bird; so, I used him on one layer, but with the impression of several layers.
Fun to make this work: cut out grid paper in the size of the card (5-1/2x4-1/4), then cut down as you add the colors. Pretty easy until the end then I had to tweak. I also added faux brads by using my mat pack.
Thanks for looking.

wonderful! I agree, I almost used this set for my card, glad I didn't! Very cool frame, wonderful colors! This is definitely a go-to set! And you wouldn't even guess this was only one layer. Nice job!

Susie, I can only guess what you mean by your notation in the forum thread that you would need more practice. It certainly looks as if you executed the design flawlessly, so maybe it took more time than you would want to spend in a WS?
Your design is fab: the colors, the "thickness" of your "layers" and the drawn-in detail right around your bird. Those faux brads are brilliant!
Awesome card!
