The new SU! set Service and Sacrifice has some wonderful sentiments to thank people serving in the military and their families. When the new Stars Cuttlebug folder came out, I knew I wanted to combine it with the Distressed Stripes folder to create an embossed flag background for a card.
The card base is Soft Suede with a mat of Not Quite Navy. The embossed layers are Kraft, which were sponged with Soft Suede ink to "antique" them and bring out the images. Punched some stars out of Not Quite Navy and Riding Hood Red card stock, and sponged them, too. The sentiment is stamped in Not Quite Navy, then cut out with the modern label punch. Added some red hemp twine on the corners and a sponged red star in the upper left.
Inside, the sentiment stamped in Not Quite Navy says:
"THANKS for your dedicated SERVICE and SACRIFICE."
Also stamped little red stars on the four corners inside. Thanks for looking!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I need to get these two folders so I can make this card. I love it! It would be perfect for promotions in my hubby's unit.
