I love any type of resist method, and this mural just called for some emboss resisting! First I stamped the floral stamp in black and embossed with clear embossing powder on glossy cs. Then I rubbed my basic black ink spot all over the cs until it was all covered. Then I dried it with my heat gun.
Then I discovered I couldn't wipe away the ink. (What? GASP! NOOOOoooooooo!!!! What in the world am I going to do???!!!! ARGH!)
After the initial disappointment, I decided to try some bleach on this just to see how it would turn out...and I ended up loving it! I painted the bleach over some of the embossed flowers, and then I tapped a bleach-loaded paint brush over the panel.
I ended up liking the background so much that I just did a super simple image and design ala Jennifer McGuire. The popped up flower was colored using a modified misting with markers - instead of using markers, I just used my ink spots to add the color directly to the stamp.
Thanks for the fun challenge!
